O.R.T.A. Academy
A structurally flawed U.S. college soccer system limits elite female players. O.R.T.A. offers a direct pathway to professional soccer in Europe. We built their digital presence to reflect premium development.
This build connects positioning and operations so decision-making stays fast as complexity increases.
The Brief
In women's soccer, the NCAA Division I pathway only provides a 3-month competitive season, leaving players technically and tactically behind their European counterparts who play 11 months a year. O.R.T.A. needed a digital platform to present their alternative 'Pathway to Play Pro-Soccer in Europe' for female youth players.
The Challenge
Before state: The 'College-Defection Trend' is growing, but elite players (16-22) lack a structured, credible academy platform that guarantees placement in a top-level European professional soccer club after completion.
The Outcome
We delivered a completely redesigned Next.js platform that structures the Academy's value proposition, showcases alumni success (including 12 players and a spotlight on Sophie Castro), and provides a premium application flow for aspiring professionals.

The Structural Flaw in U.S. Development
The U.S. college system limits development time to 12 months over 4 years. By contrast, the European system offers 44 months of development. Elite players needed a better option.
Structuring the Professional Pathway
We designed a digital experience that highlights the 'College-Defection Trend'—showcasing players like Lindsey Horan and Mallory Pugh who turned pro early—and positions O.R.T.A. as the vehicle to follow that path.
A Premium Platform for Elite Talent
The new Next.js platform elevates the Academy's credibility, showcasing training rigor, alumni success (like Sophie Castro's trials in Spain), and providing a clear application process for the next generation of pros.
System Interface Highlights.
The digital platform perfectly captures the professionalism and rigor of our European development pathway. It instantly communicates our mission to elite players looking to bypass the college system.
